35 Factory Acceptance Tests Successfully Passed: Witness the New Milestone of Vertiv × VNET Strategic Collaboration

Vertiv and VNET completed 35 rigorous factory tests for the Vertiv™ Liebert® DA hybrid air conditioner, demonstrating reliability in extreme climates, seamless mode switching, and ultra-low PUE. Their strategic collaboration sets a new standard for efficient and stable data center operations.

 

The strategic partnership between Vertiv and VNET has delivered another groundbreaking achievement. The "star product" of this collaboration, the Vertiv™ Liebert® DA hybrid dual-engine precision air conditioner, is equipped with "pre-cooling + supplemental cooling" for unprecedented DA cooling capacity.

To ensure high-quality delivery to customers, seasoned technical experts from both Vertiv and VNET conducted intensive factory acceptance tests (FATs) at Vertiv's Jiangmen, Guangdong facility. Over several days, the team completed 35 rigorous quality and performance tests, demonstrating the product’s superior reliability and efficiency.

National-Standard Laboratory: A Comprehensive Testing Journey

The FATs were conducted in a state-of-the-art multifunctional enthalpy difference laboratory with a cooling capacity of 600kW. The facility, known for its extensive experience in product R&D and testing, has served renowned clients such as Microsoft, Tencent, Alibaba, and Google, earning industry-wide acclaim.

Rigorous Quality Control by Experienced Teams

Both teams meticulously examined the product, focusing on every detail. Testing spanned external craftsmanship, internal structure, performance metrics, and safety guarantees. These tests ensured that the Vertiv™ Liebert® DA met all prototype testing standards and exceeded industry benchmarks.

• -20°C freezing conditions
• +40°C scorching heat

Seamless and Stable Mode Switching

Thanks to differentiated technology, the system can automatically switch modes based on outdoor conditions and indoor loads, maximizing natural cooling. Air supply temperature fluctuations remained minimal, within +1/-3°C, ensuring stable and consistent cooling for data centers.

Reliable Ultra-Low PUE, Surpassing Industry Standards

The hybrid dual-engine high-efficiency design achieved exceptional results during testing, with a cooling load factor (CLF) as low as 0.074—exceeding customer requirements by more than 15%. This demonstrates the Vertiv™ Liebert® DA’s superior cooling capabilities and efficiency.
